Phobias
What gives you the heebie-jeebies?
It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*
Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

being alone
generally being on my own for a while is ok but I'm not great when left alone with myself, particularly if I haven't got a good book to read.
I guess you would call this next bit a phobia though...
Mrs Vipros and I have pretty much decided not to have kids, if it happens, then so be it, but we aren't going to be making any conscious attempts to have them.
Sometimes however I get to thinking "what about when I'm old, and maybe my wife (gf at the moment) has passed away, and I've got no friends left."
imagine it, you're left in your old age, possibly infirm to some degree, with no one to keep you company.
frankly, the thought terrifies me. so I try not to think of it too often

Don't worry....
We'll all grow old together. I'm way ahead of some of you and I'm depending on your company.
I also don't want or have kids.

I knew I could count on you
surrounding myself with like-minded individuals is the way to go
I kind of visualise myself when old as being like Hugh Heffner, but with a beard

I've often thought
about living in some sort of commune when I get old, cause I can't see myself being with anybody then, and much as we love each other, I'll never burden my kids.
Let's do it - no-one should be old and alone, it's just too tragic.

I want to retire to
the B3ta home for the terminally vague, where every story starts "do you remember the QoTW where they asked ..."

Because, let's face it, you aren't getting any younger.

your a good man, and think, you are saving the planet a little bit by not spawning.
Im planning to be a crotchetty old hermit when I retire.
or a drunk that smells slightly of wee.
Haven't decided yet.

Having kids just so you have someone to take care of you when your older is the wrong way to go.
Don't think about it. Just stay reasonably healthy, then when you feel yourself starting to wain, go out in a blaze of alcohol, fags and drugs.
(I'm also of the no kids persuasion).

We will all sit in big chairs in a semi-circle...
I would listen to hard-core house music on my ipod and say things like 'I've danced at the Hacienda you know'. Best thing is we'd get fed lots of mashed potato. I lurve mashed potato. I also like bingo so I'm up for it.

I have to warn you all....
I wake up really really early, so I'll always get the best spot at the staring window.
Bingo as well? I'm there!

I've been practising my pelvic floor exercises...
So when I'm an old biddy I won't wet myself when I sneeze.

Don't bother - it's not a proper cemetery waiting room if it doesn't smell of pee!

sounds like
this home is going to be a fun place to live
I quite like Davros' Grandad's idea though
fill myself so full of drugs that when they cremate me the whole county gets high!

Is it just me...
Or is this:
"Sometimes however I get to thinking "what about when I'm old, and maybe my wife (gf at the moment) has passed away, and I've got no friends left."
A thinly veiled proposal of marriage?

thinly veiled proposal
it's not, she doesn't read b3ta, and she knows it's going to happen at some point, but first we have to finish doing up the house.
