This is a question Presents

What are you buying your loved ones this Christmas? We're looking for inspiration and reckon a big share-a-thon of ideas will help everyone buy better gifts this year.

BTW: If your family reads B3ta and you're worried about giving the game away then tell us what you bought last Christmas.

My best present, EVER
Last year I got light sabres. Two. An Obe Wan Kenobe one and a Darth Vader one. I switch them on in the dark, bash them together and they make this cool kkrrrrchchkrrrrr noise.

I'm 40.

hmmm
The force is strong with this one

It's kind of ironic though
because they run on batteries. It ruins the illusion when you have to unscrew the end of the handle and change six AA batteries because your light sabre won't work any more.

I have..
1. An old karate suit I bought from a car boot for £2
2. Crepe bandages
3. A blonde wig
4. A Skywalker Light Sabre.

Other than that, my dressing up box is bare.
(I'm older that yow)

Thank you for my next fancy dress costume
I have a box that has been well used for stag and other parties, my best one is a full on Danger Mouse costume, but I think this may top it for what I want to wear. I have two lightsabers, for the kids, but secretly for me. I also have the honour of being asked to leave toys r us for a light saber battle that would have rivaled Luke & Vader.

I love the fancy dress costume
I've always wanted to look like Han Solo but being of the female persuasion, and having rather large knockers, it never looks quite right.

I did have a light sabre fight with a young shop monkey in Red 5 last Christmas, but have never had the enviable distinction of being ejected from Toys R Us. My big, fat, twatty brother got stuck in a wendy house there once. That was hilarious.

Fight!
A friend and I rolled up a couple of posters and used the light saber apps on our phones to have a light saber fight at school.

We are both teachers in our mid 30s.

My husband and son..
..can often be found in the kitchen (it has the largest open space) with the lights out and duelling. My husband has the Darth Vader one and my son has the Yoda one.
