This is a question Presents

What are you buying your loved ones this Christmas? We're looking for inspiration and reckon a big share-a-thon of ideas will help everyone buy better gifts this year.

BTW: If your family reads B3ta and you're worried about giving the game away then tell us what you bought last Christmas.

Went to my first AA meeting. Day one and counting. Apologies for lack of funnies.

you have my best wishes and hopes

Good luck.
One day at a time, and the 12 steps might take a long time to work through, but if you're determined to do it, you will.

Wow!
That is great. Hang in there, work the program and know a lot of people are rooting for you.

Thanks everyone!
It was time for me to do it.

Good on you. This nation is desperately short of roadside mechanics.

You made me laugh.
Well done you.

See, you can be funny if you try hard.

She was probably hoping for some tea towels.

(, Wed 2 Dec 2009, 8:08, closed)
That's great news
It will really help you. Talk to your sponsor, follow the steps and take it a day at a time.
(, Wed 2 Dec 2009, 8:56, closed)
Sponsor?
Oh man he;s doing for charity too?

What a guy!

Anything is possible, I gave up ciggies for over 7 week now after 23 years of trying :-)
(, Wed 2 Dec 2009, 9:38, closed)
Well done on the smoking
I'd told the missus I was giving that up at New Year, but might postpone that for a bit now.

And thanks for the comments everyone - the roadside mechanic one made me chuckle, as did the charity reference!

Nice one mate
All the best!
(, Wed 2 Dec 2009, 11:47, closed)

The road ahead may be tough, but remember...
You have already taken the biggest step.

I have true, utter and complete respect for you, sir - you are a giant among men.

(Unless you're a real short arse, in which case can I sell you a nice set of stacks...???)
(, Wed 2 Dec 2009, 13:07, closed)
Six foot one
No stacks necessary but thanks for the offer!

Just wanted to say before this QOTW closes
Thanks everyone for the comments, appreciated reading them, they mean a lot.

Three days in now, thousands ahead (hopefully).

And yes, the missus will be getting presents bought for her this Christmas too... but she won't appreciate any of them as much as this.
