Procrastination
Outlook is a wonderful tool, but not when it keeps reminding you that it is now 96 weeks since you were supposed to finish a report you haven't even started yet.
Just how lazy are you? How long will you put off the essential or the inevitable? What do you fill the time with?
(We're too lazy to write something funny here. You do it.)

I got a 2:2
by doing nowhere near the recommended amount of work and reading. You might say that the course was too esy or lenient, but many people got thirds or dropped out.
Makes me wonder what I could be if I could be arsed, ever...

I got a 2:1 in my MEng in Civil Engineering
by being stoned all the time, and doing the bare minimum of work and revision.
by popular acclaim the course wasn't easy
I'm just that good.
admittedly a lot of people got Firsts, but I didn't want a first and had never aimed to get one.

I also got a desmond
Most of my 17000 word dissertation was written in the week before it was handed in.
I was relying on it being so boring no-one would actually read it. Result.

I studied music.
I really enjoyed my course.
My final 'dissertation' involved writing a string quartet and an 'electronic' piece.
I should have really applied myself and got a 2:1 at least.
I got a Desmond.

Take it from me:
The reason PhDs take 3-4 years to complete is not due to their difficulty but due to building up enough experience to be able to procrastinate efficiently and call it "research".

I didn't attend my second year at all
I just scraped through a pass. I need a module average of 67% this year to get a 2:1.
I'm quietly confident.

I got a Desmond as well.
A combination of laziness, going mental in the third year and DJing too much.
