Procrastination
Outlook is a wonderful tool, but not when it keeps reminding you that it is now 96 weeks since you were supposed to finish a report you haven't even started yet.
Just how lazy are you? How long will you put off the essential or the inevitable? What do you fill the time with?
(We're too lazy to write something funny here. You do it.)

« Go Back
Its quite ironic that I couldnt be arsed to think of anything for this week
but.. Its my day off work, I have a job list as long as my arm of very important things that need to be done. Its a beautiful day outside.
And Im still in bed :)
Ohh and Ive had some library books to take back but I couldn't be bothered. Then I couln't afford the fine at the time. Now the fines too big and I dont want to look like a naughty book stealer and now Ill probably never be able to use the library again.
They were due back Sept 7th.
I owe a £40 fine.
They're under my bed.
What should I do?

Have a look
And find out when their next amnesty is.
Most Librarys will offer fairly regular amnestys as they are more concerned with getting their books back than collecting fines.

Do they have fine limits?
I'm sure that libraries are supposed to impose an upper limit on how big fines can get...
But yeah, I'd say get a friend to loan it.

No problem
Happened to me a few times. Take them back asap, with your card.. and when they ask for the fine, just say you're skint and will be back another day to pay it.. then walk out.

one way or another
Either get rid of the book (e.g. doing the friend taking it out scam) or taking it back, owning up and paying the fine.
These stupid small things weigh on our minds and you'll feel constantly guilty. Do something about it!!!!

Say you lost it,
And apologise. They will make you pay the price the book is to buy so they can get a new one and you get to keep the book.
You also get a reciept incase you find it again so you can get your money back.
S'how I got my HTML book....

My cat widdled on one of my library books
I dried it on the boiler, pressed it flat under a heavy weight and sprayed perfume on it to disguise the smell, but it still has a yellow tinge.
I keep renewing it, not daring to take it back.

All libraries do smell disgusting
And the taking them back and telling them you don't have the money for the fine but will come back won't work, cos there's a wonderful button that just defers them. Your best bet is to go in and say you husband/wife/child/mum/dad/dog died and it's taken you so long to sort everything else out you just forgot you had them. It's best to do this while looking tearful, maybe even offer to pay the fine but look like you'll actually cry if you say yes. Should do the trick! :p
