Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

How you nearly died
Has this bindun? Have you ever done something foolhardy and nearly kicked the bucket? (Euphamism added for extra punnage points).
Having almost terminal diseases or been in something that wasn't your fault such as been in a train crash or a 7/7 style incident don't count. Unless you were looking after a bag for a nervous muslim at the time.
ps, why isn't 7/7 simply known as '1'?

Motor show at the ExCeL centre
The one with the daft lettering (see above) on the signs. A few months after passing my driving test so I drove my dad and my sister down. It's about 100 miles from my house to the show, but the journey wasn't that bad. Getting lost after my sister accidentally directed us in the opposite direction to where we should have been was bad, but not deadly.
The show was good, saw some really nice cars (got a few pic of me in the Nissan GTR, various Morgans etc.)
The motor show, however, takes place in July. It's hot in July. Heat has a particular effect on me. Heat, combined with a comfy chair (like a driver's seat) makes me irresistably sleepy.
I came to within a few inches of putting the car into the barrier doing 70mph in bumper-to-bumper traffic in the fast lane.
I pulled into the next services (thank fuck they were only half a mile on) and told my dad he had to drive.
I don't think either my dad or my sister knows how bad I was, but it gives me the creeping horros to think what might have happened - I'm sweating as I type this.
Never again.
