I wasn't really excited about the moviebecause I expect movies made from books i like to be crap. I did like Alan Rickman's voice though. Though I'd probably listen to him reading blender instructions if he'd just volunteer.
The kids loved the movie. It's how I got my daughter to read the books back when she was 12.
