Shoes.
Keep your shoes polished. I know it's a small thing, but keeping shoe leather in good shape makes shoes last longer. And they look nicer, too. A polished shoe is a thing of beauty.

Also, always use a shoehorn for lace-up and slip-on shoes. I even use one for putting on trainers and gym shoes.
It keeps the backs in nice shape and helps them last longer. I've worn one particular pair of sturdy DMs through various jobs for nearly 20 years and they still look like new. Polish, shoehorns, the occasional application to a miscreant's buttock - it all helps.
