This is a question Schadenfreude

There's nothing like administering first aid to cyclist who has just spanged into the back of a milk float when you have tears of laughter running down your face. The world is just one long episode of You've Been Framed - when have you laughed at the misfortune of others?

Why is it driving offers so much scope for this?
In any event, was driving in the bleak north this weekend - all due care and attention, nice & easy, not exceeding 30/40 (the snow was pretty brutal, all in) when some tit in a Corsa decides to go flying past me at 60 or so - on un-gritted snow / ice / slush / etc.

Can't end well, I think - sure enough, 20 minutes down the road, the same Corsa, on it's roof in a ditch. Do the charitable thing, stop and check the occupants are OK - and they've all buggered off.

I'm guessing they were pissed?

Saw that this evening heading home
Puggit 206 quite a long way up a steep bank not very far from a fairly sharp bend. Going too fast for the conditions? Well, *something* must have given it the momentum to plough through 50 yards of trees...

there's ghost cars all over these highways

Either that
or they were flung from the car when it rolled and were lying just out of sight in a hedge, life ebbing from them. Did you swipe the radio?

I'm guessing that ..
they'd either nicked the car from somewhere or - it being a Corsa - had no insurance
