I get the feeling I'm going to get really fed up with this one.
I suppose in Britain we're to an extent far enough past all this bollocks (or ovaries) that it can be funny, but I've lived in a country where women were genuinely considered socially and intellectually inferior, and I suffered for it. There was nothing funny about that at all. So you'll have to excuse my sense of humour failure for this week.

...so then you work your socks off trying to be the best of the best, getting ahead of everyone else to prove yourself and to show that your gender really are worth it...

...then you get undermined by all the women who totally buy into the system.

I got told several times that I should just accept that men were in charge and be a happy little wifey and get married asap (the fact that I was already engaged didn't seem to count...but then it wasn't an arranged thing, which probably counted against me!)

I agree. I'm tired of seeing ads where men are shown as completely incompetent. I don't think that women should be shown as incompetent either, surely there's a happy medium between the two??

Just give the women rifles. Women = 52% of the population or more in most places, that's enough for a military takeover.
