This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

Who is worse
Just reading yospeck's post and comments.

Woman who dress overly sexy (as stated in said post) moaning about being looked at like they are some porn star, even thought they are dressed like one.

Or

Men who do it, and think that just because of the way they are dressed they sluts.

Maybe if men were less attention giving, woman would be less attention seeking. Or is it the other way around?

There's an interesting study floating around...
...which I shall not search for as I am at work. But it states that women, sexually, are far more visual creatures than men. They get aroused much more, on average of course, than men when subjected to a range of images associated with sex (all types of homesexual and heterosexual and bestial sex, and an array of naked people in various states of excitement).

Then there's another one which showed that women ogle men far more often than men ogle women...but they don't realise they do it. They fixed cameras to women's eyes and their gaze went from head to crotch to chest on just about every man they passed, but none of them reported being aware of doing it.

Interesting, isn't it? We all like a good stare, but some are more subtle than others.

Bear in mind also
that a man, by virtue of millions of years of evolution, is hard-wired to go out and spread his seed as much as possible, and even though they not be aware of it, they are constantly assessing potential mates, which they do primarily by sight - the male subconscious, in the presence of women is essentially going "would, would, wouldn't, would, corr! wouldn't, wouldn't, would, urghh" etc.

Yes, there are social aspects to consider, but they are borne of a conscious mind, but beneath that, is a very base carnal desire.

If that's true,
then surely the reverse is also true? Women must also be programmed to procreate, so therefore must also be on the lookout for mates?

In most (if not all primates)
it is the female when looking to mate, that makes herself look attractive to draw attention from possible suitors, be it a bright red swollen flange or a bit of slap and a low cut top, the root is the same. Regardless of whether women are out purposefully to pull, the still want to attract attention, and when that happens, especially from an attractive male, then her brain releases a bit of feel-good hormone. Or in laymans' terms, flattery.

If that wasn't the case, then why go to all the bother of wearing clothing not suitable for wandering between pubs on a cold November evening and shoes that hurt like a bastard.

It's all in the eyes
men have a more predatory set up to their vision, (depth of field, etc.), and can see about sod all to the side. Women on the other hand, tend to lack this but have far better peripheral vision enabling them to perve without being as noticeable.

Weird
I have really good peripheral Vision. I also like compliments, from the missus. Maybe I am the lady of the relationship.

Subtle
Of course - wear sunglasses and don't move your head suddenly.

the perv
technique. I like wearing sunnies. Then again i find eye contact uncomfortable at times. I like people to think i am looking at them (when talking) when i can be looking else where.
