Personally, last month a scantily clad young woman confused me with her fiance, with whom I share a first and last name. I'm still not sure she's noticed, but she's going to be mortified when she does.

How not to chat up a girlA very good friend of mine at uni was drunk one night in the union club. He went up to another of my friends (they didn't know each other, different friendship groups), tapped her on the shoulder and said the immortal words... "Don't I know you off Myspace?"
