German German OverallsWhen aged about 12 we succeeded in mobilising enough of the school to sing the German national anthem instead of 'Joyful Things Of Thee Are Spoken' in a school assembly, that we could be clearly heard.
Fortunately the school was Christian enough for the headmaster to take offence.
