Spoilers
The Hedgehog From Hell says: "I shared a house in England with a couple of Germans in 1999. I was watching Star Trek: Deep Space 9 on BBC2. One came into the room and saw Jadzia Dax on the screen and said 'Oh! Is she still alive? You're really far behind in this country.' What's been ruined for you, and how? Apart from QOTW, obviously"

You forgot to add
Life is essentially random and the world is not just; bad things happen to good people for no reason at all, and bad people don't usually get any comeuppance.
Democracy is an illusion to keep you from asking too many questions
Nobody ever really knows anybody else and we all die alone, and nothing at all happens afterwards except rotting.

Totally.
My life is, like, sooo random. The other night, I went to Nando's - for some chicken, yeah? - and all my girlfriends was there! I was like "Whoa, why are you all in Nando's?" And they was like "For some chicken, yeah?"
I mean, how random was that? Us all liking chicken, and all going to Nando's! For chicken! Totally random.

In a democracy
you can ask as many questions as you like, but nothing will get done about the answers...whereas in most other forms of government you can't ask the questions or you'll be shot.
