This is a question Spoilt Brats

Mr Newton sighs, "ever known anyone so spoilt you would love to strangle? I lived with a Paris Hilton-a-like who complained about everything, stomped her feet and whinged till she got her way. There was a happy ending though: she had to drop out of uni due to becoming pregnant after a one night stand..."

Who's the spoiltest person you've met? Has karma come to bite them yet? Or did you in fact end up strangling them? Uncle B3ta (and the serious crimes squad) wants to know.

Grumpy Old Man
On further reflection, by the definition of those of us who were children in the 70s, EVERYONE today under the age of 18 is a spoiled brat.

Struggling with having to do exams EVERY YEAR? Don't worry - we'll just cancel them!

You don't want a space-hopper? Of course we'll buy you a Wii, PSP, DS and Xbox 360!

Yes, you're right two tin cans and a piece of string ARE crap! Here, have a £200 mobile and naturally we'll buy you a new phone in two months' time when this one is "obsolete"...

I understand COMPLETELY that C&A's own-brand jeans are a bit rubbish - let me buy you these baggy ones where the crotch hangs round your shins. Or would you prefer these Playboy ones?

Hmmm,
generalising is always going to win votes from the Daily Mail crowd. But not from me.

My step-son is 7. He has a DS Lite which his father bought him for christmas. He has quite a few toys, but they tend to be cheapo crap from Woolworths. He does not have a mobile.

And you know what? He doesn't mind. He knows we don't have a lot of money, so he doesn't constantly say "I want, I want" because he knows he's not going to get. He's a happy little soul who'd happily play with a cardboard box if nothing else was available. He wears clothes from George and Primark and doesn't complain. Wouldn't do him any good if he did complain, because there's nowt we can do about it, but it wouldn't even occur to him to complain.

He's no angel, don't get me wrong - he has his brattish moments like every child. But those moments tend to end with him getting a smack and being sent upstairs.

So yeah, everyone under the age of 18 is spoiled.

Cock off with your ill considered generalisations. Idiot.

<sigh> Some people...
Sense of humour bypass worked then?

So far today, I've read generalisations on here about the upper classes, people who went to boarding school and rich girls. But that, of course, is OK, isn't it?

Hey, I went to boarding school, so according to some people on here, I'm either gay or an upper class twit or both. Guess what? I'm neither. But my toys are still in my pram.

Don't take it all so personally.

It's not ok
but I didn't read those particular posts. I don't like generalising at all - it's a sure sign of lazy thinking, and I hate that even more.

But your post annoyed me on a personal level - is it supposed to be funny? Were you being ironic? I don't know, maybe your post was too subtle or maybe it's because it's 5pm and my brain's stopped working.

Speaking of which - I'm outta here!

Just a point...
Where do you stop generalising?

I hate stereotyping as much as the next person, but generealisations need to be made and it shows lazy thinking to just fire off on one. Don't you think the author knows there are exceptions? Of course he did.

Generalisations have to be made, and if you don't like it provide constructive feedback or debate instead of throwing your toys...

*sigh*

Jesus christ guys
Calm down!

I see nothing wrong with this post.
It's quite humorous and ironically highlights some important points.

Now play nice children.

Not wanting to wear C&A own-brand jeans is understandable...
Seriously, they did shut down in 2001.

Beat me to it.

I'm 18
I work hard for all of my exams.

My parents buy me fuck all unless it's something thats vital.

My phone is about 7 years old and would cost £5 now.

I work 2 jobs and buy all my own stuff.

Therefore, *disagrees*
