People with Stupid Names
There are hundreds of unfortunate people out there with silly names desparately coping with the evil their parents perpetrated upon them at birth.
So far, I've met a woman called Rusty Tharp, a child health consultant called Peter Files and have the business card for "Fab Boolaky" on my desk.
We'd like you to tell us about the people you've met or work with that have silly, inappropriate or frankly wierd names.

Turkish names
My friends and I met a group of Turkish students whilst underage drinking on a green in Cambridge (as you do). We introduced ourselves, got chatting and only then got around to asking their names. I forget most of them, but one in particular stands out: her name was Minge.
Cue much choking on beer as we struggled to control our hysterics, while this poor girl looked on confused. We entirely failed at finding a nice way to explain it to her and had to give it to her straight - the look of horror on her face was priceless!
She insisted that everyone call her Claire from then on.
