Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.
Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."
What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?
Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

The attic
EVERYTHING that I think may one day be valuable goes in the attic. Never mind the fact I'm running out of room up there and that I can't find some of the older stuff I've put up there.
So far I've got two years of Kerrang!, lots of back issues of Zoo/Nuts, about the last 30 issues of Viz and most of the annuals, and a couple of years of Reader's Digest (even though the latter's probably worth fuck all).
There's also a couple of larger, discontinued Lego sets up there (although they may have been crushed under the weight of the aforementioned shit) and a shitload of Micro Machines (which might have suffered the same fate).
If I could find anything up there, it would be a fucking goldmine (in years to come).

I hate to say it but
I don't think the Kerrang! and Zoo/Nuts back issues will ever be worth anything unless you've got a particularly rare issue etc.

Rarity
These things become valuable if they are rare. Apristing copy of zoo or nuts in 20 years time will possibly be worth the equivalent of a tenner. There is nothing so special in them that would likely lead to a particularly high value. Take a look at reader's digest online. The magazines themselves, except for perhaps the first few issues, are not valuable, even from 20 years ago.
The same goes for micro machines, they are not special, distinctly mass-produced. Lego, however, rare sets of lego technik could be valuable already, you never know. They will almost certainly gain value.

Why would you want the last two years worth of Kerrang?
Especially since that mags been shit since about 1992.

Kerrang Did Indeed Lose It Around 1992
Which is why I'm keeping hold of the Kerrangs I have from the mid and late 80s. Unless my ex chucked the before she moved out...
*dashes off to check*
