HmmI am so tight that I refuse to pay the ransom money for my wife until I know they have run up the same cost to the kidnappers. I take costings out for light, heating (I assume its heated anyway as she was chained to a radiator on the picture they sent me) rent and food and stump up the cash after a good year or so.

The money they're asking is probably LESS than what your wife spends in a year. Leave her to them , I say.
