For the simple reason
that not all that many people bother with the OT board, so it will be more likely to be read by the people who are interested if I post it here.

True enough.
As I said, not many people check out the OT board. I posted this here because I've gotten a few people writing me to ask how the story ends. I figured that where there are those few, there are likely more wondering as well- so I put it out here.

As this is the exception rather than the rule for me, I thought it permissible to do it this once.
