I was considering what would happen if I lost my job.
I'm not attempting to, of course. But the dole is quite possibly the most soul destroying thing I've ever encountered - even worse than a bad day working as a till monkey.

Last year I went to into the benefits office to speak to someone about what help I could get for my poorly mum. By Christ it was a depressing place, even more than I remember.
