I like your thinkingbut unfortunately (in Tesco, at least) they'll become wise to your scheme when "loose potatoes" comes up umpteen times on their central administration screen thingy that they use to monitor what's being scanned. I suppose you could just work your way through all the loose vegetables they sell to avoid getting caught...
