Trolleys and the self service counters don't mix. It takes about 15 times longer, you'll mis-scan half the items and you'll leave a queue longer than the River Mersey.

Also a trolley's worth of stuff won't fit in the 'Bagging area', so you'll have to stop every 30 seconds and ask the assistant to come over and enter their code so you can put a bag on the floor. And then something will fall over and it'll say "Item removed from bagging area" and the world will come to a halt again as you wait for them to lumber back over with a face like a smacked arse, as if you're asking them to retreive your car-keys from a cow's bumhole YET AGAIN, even though their job essentially consists of standing there holding a swipecard.
