To stop fizzy drinks in plastic bottles going flat.Squeeze it till the liquid is at the top of the bottle, then do the cap up. This stops the gas being able to escape into the space above, thus keeping the drink fizzy for longer.

Doesn't workThe gas still escapes into the bottle, it reinflates the bottle back to it's original shape
