Sounds greatbut take it one stage further and make your own oven chips.
Take some normal spuds - Maris Piper I think I tried this with, and cut them into quarters lengthways. Stick them on a baking tray, drizzle with oil, and bung them in the oven for 20 mins or so.
You can also jazz them up with chilli flakes or something like that if you like.
