Thank you for your mail of 27 February.

I have no knowledge of the "clock" incident you refer to, and no way of
checking matters unless you can be specific about the date and time of
the alleged incident. I am fairly certain that this matter has never
been raised before - and so at present I have to say that it seems
likely that you were mistaken on this point.

I can assure you that we take our obligations to our viewers, and to our
regulator Ofcom, very seriously, and that we do all that we reasonably
can to avoid bad language in our programming.
