Useless adviceAs a new parent, people seem to think it's OK to pass on any and every old wives tale possible. "Don't hug him too much". What? Quite what possesses people to pass on baseless, idiotic, useless advice I don't know.
That said, I quite often give car drivers directions and then, after they've moved off, realise that I've sent them down a bike-only route, so I can give as good as I get.
What useless advice have you been given (or handed out) recently?

To all the teachers and careers advisorswho strongly advised me to do A-levels and go to university when all I wanted to do was become a diver, I would just like to say "thanks a bunch you cunts, i'm now a sodding accountant and hating it".
Just to pour salt on the wound, one of my clients is a professional diver, he earns a fortune working all over the world and because he 'technically' spends more than 6 months at sea he DOESN'T PAY ANY INCOME TAX.
"Oh, but if you get a degree you'll be in the top 5% blah blah blah"
