Useless adviceAs a new parent, people seem to think it's OK to pass on any and every old wives tale possible. "Don't hug him too much". What? Quite what possesses people to pass on baseless, idiotic, useless advice I don't know.
That said, I quite often give car drivers directions and then, after they've moved off, realise that I've sent them down a bike-only route, so I can give as good as I get.
What useless advice have you been given (or handed out) recently?

I've got some useless advice for skippytheferretThe rearview mirrors on cars are slightly curved so that you can see more of your surroundings. Of course, for you to see more in the mirror, the images reflected are smaller, leading you to think they're further away. (sorry, thought other people might be curious too...)
As for useless advice, how's "you don't need to declare a major, just start taking your gen eds and it'll come to you" sound? Wasting time and money is worse than useless!
