Exactly.
I've lived in places where the morning routine was
Walk to car
Open door (if door not already open)
Sweep broken glass from seat (place plastic bag on wet seat)
Try not to think about why seat is wet but hope it's rain regardless.
Try to insert key into mangled ignition.
Walk back to house and call cops again.
Walk to work.

I have to:

turn off lights, and any ancillaries (e.g. heated screen, heated seat etc).

Turn off everything via the secret "kill" switch that is cunningly located in a certain place.

Lock the steering lock.

Fit the Clutch Claw, fit the Stop Lock to the steering wheel.

Collapse & have a breather before climbing the 64 steps to my flat!
