Over politness comes out as retardation
Instead of saying "thanks" or "cheers" I say "thankscheers". I think it's because I get nervous, but it makes people think I have some kind of disorder.

"I give you my" first, then you'd not look so weird.

it's better to be overly polite than not polite enough. I hate it when people don't say thank you.
