How far is this journeyIt may require carrying a lot of kit if you don't have a support crew. I doubt there are many service stations en route.

I got the ideaWhen I saw Ewan Mcgregor doing it, but think I have heard of another guy he met while doing it who was travelling the opposite way pretty much by himself and nursing a broken ankle in a cast.
To be fair, I have no idea if he made it. The trip is quite long, but I believe there is fuel available albeit poor quality, and irregularly spaced.
