I used to think of the musician in this, sitting back from composing their latest masterpiece, proud of what they had done, sending it off to various places to try and get signed and get in to the charts. I've since been reliably told by a friend studying music that it is often composed especially for the film in question. I don't know why they had to mess with the dream like this.
