You mean recording artists like..Puff Daddy, TuPac/2 PAC or whatever, And mostly of Jay Z - who totally re-released New York by Alicia Keys almost within weeks of her original, except he just talks over it.
Dizzy Rascal, you are also guilty of the same crimes.
That said, I'm into dance music, and the house scene has been blatantly doing this for years, so I guess it's a universal habit really.
