It was actually a little more pretentious than that - I think the exact quote was, "I regard myself as a bisexual man who has never had a homosexual experience". Presumably, disappearing up one's own arse whilst being a chap doesn't count.
That said - they still sold out the o2 in December...

I was painfully aware of the o2 sell-out, as my sister went with her friends. She also likes Take That and A-Ha, and is old enough to know much better. I think she was adopted.
