This
I got nothing for 2 months, decided to rewrite my CV and spent a good day perfecting it,then the responses and interviews flowed in. And following that I went to my first interview and got a great job.
Sorted.

What did you alter?

General layout and presentation...
(It seems adding a blue line here or there does wonders)...coupled with rewording everything, no lies, just avoided negative sounding words or phrases and I removed more than I added in the end.
It's difficult to explain without having a before and after set of copies.

Hmm, sounds like a plan
just hope the people at the careers centre are helpful.

Have you been through a recruitment agency yet?
They'll usually help rewrite your CV and if you get a good 'un they might just do a good job of it.
