Taxis (nearly everywhere)
Jon's petrol money (as he takes me everywhere else). I can't really travel/go places on my own because my deafness leaves me in danger. Common problem.

Yes, because you know from being able to hear footsteps
or general background noise that it's a gang/mugger behind you.
And they usefully announce themselves and their intentions after all, so yeah, being deaf gives you a serious disadvantage in most situations.

I know of several people who are disabled and all of them take public transport to various places and cope very well.

Plus, I'd never be able to hear someone behind me with my hearing and that's never stopped me going out.
