b3tan poetry site

Right then, after much thought, I've decided to definitely start up a place for b3tans' to post their own poetry.

Do you enjoy writing poetry, whether it be silly or serious?
Would you use a site that had a different theme each week to base your poems on?
Have you ever been annoyed about writing down a poem on the talk board, and then forgetting to bookmark it, and losing it forever?

Please let me knwo if you are interested in either using this site, or even better, becoming a moderator for the site, and running the show how you want.

It's a simplistic idea, but hopefully one I think some of you may enjoy.

Anyway, I'm rambling now, let me know what you think ;o)

I'd rather just post/read it here,
really.

While I enjoy
the occasional mass poetry-attack on the talkboard, such as that which happened yesterday, I'm not sure I'd ever bother going to a site that was just for poetry.
That said, it's not a bad idea, and could end up being quite interesting.

thanks for the feedback
I kinda know what you mean, but I want to make it a light weight kind of site, so it's just a "once a day" thingy, and not something you have to continually check

I'd be up for it.
Sounds fun.

goodo
What sort of format would be best?

A discussion board like this, with a compo entry, or a lightweight phpbb forum?

There will be a theme for each week such as "Biscuits" "Badgers" "Traffic" "Horses" etc...

I think it should contain a serious & silly section.
People could even request to have their own areas, where they can show off their own poetry

If you answered yes to any of these questions,
maybe Ocean Finance can help you.

My response was positive too.
The stifled laughter wasn't directed at your idea.
