since i bought my first icon i've always donated for others, i always and also have loads of shit that i don't need but someone might before i chuck it i'e solio mp3 charger, psp solar charger, dvds and the like, i'd be happy to give these around?

should b3ta have a classified page?

Yes it does
Lots of people on here have given stuff to people in need.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:47, archived)
would rob agree to it?
i understand this is a large comunity, but with few active users so it should be ok
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:48, archived)
Ask him
Cant do any harm can it?
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:50, archived)
gaz seems to work fairly for it

(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:50, archived)
This.

(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:51, archived)
oh forget it then
i didn't realise i was the only one being left out of this utopia
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:53, archived)
haha, probably
I gave Nick The Greek my laptop charger from my old laptop, they are £100 retail, no point in selling it
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:47, archived)
And you're fucking great for doing so.

I have often given things away to other b3tans, like it's a kind of nerd freecycle
and I bought a pizza for a b3tan who was too poor to buy food that week
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:47, archived)
mr horrible bought me sugar, coffee, milk AND teabags
when I had just moved in and didn't have any of them in my house.

He is a hero.

moohalaa sent me some things, too.
Lots of people on here are very nice.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:57, archived)
I often send things to people
and I've never met the pizza recepient
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:59, archived)
I have donated on behalf of at least three people
I think only one of them knows that it was me though. And I have also sent things to people in need because I'm nice like that. Classifieds could work though, if people took it seriously.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:49, archived)
A classified page would be a good idea
maybe they could call it eB3y. You could give stuff away, or sell it. Limit it to one ad per user at a time.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:49, archived)
Damn good idea.
*supports this*
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:57, archived)
I just gazzed rob about it.
I wonder if he'll like the idea.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 23:03, archived)
It's no bad idea,
but if I were him I doubt I'd implement it.
Wherever money changes hands there's a big risk of people getting ripped off, and that could lead to all kinds of liabilities and legal hassle for B3ta.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 23:07, archived)
Hmmm.
I don't know what the legal position would be on it, but I would guess that as long as no money actually passed through b3ta, rob wouldn't be liable. I'm probably wrong though.
Don't ever take legal advice from someone who says "I don't know, but I reckon it's probably like this".
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 23:13, archived)
I don't know, either.
I'm just careful with anything involving other people's cash.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 23:15, archived)
All we need is an RSS feed from the BBC news website,
and you'll never have to visit any webstie other than B3ta again.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 23:04, archived)
It depends what you've got.
Send it all to me, and I'll tell you if you've got a good idea.
(, Sat 29 Dec 2007, 22:50, archived)
That's a pretty cool idea.
Like a b3cycle place.
