alternatively is it freezable?
I used to thrive on freezing single portions of Big Meals to avoid having to mess about with cooking when I was in a rush.

It's pasta, so probably wouldn't do well.

generally pasta is cheap enough
to throw out the excess without feeling like it's a waste of money.

Of course there's still the Starving Armenians and the threat of no dessert and whatever other childhood demons continue to make you feel the compulsion to eat ALL your dinner...
