that I would rate Amsterdam lower than other Euro destinations. Thus indicating that I liked other things instead.
Berlin for example is lovely, Barcelona is my favourite, I love being there. Paris is IN MY OPINION hugely overrated though. They can fuck off and fucking die.

I've not been to Barcelona, but I'm sure it's far too hot for me. I'm not good in the heat.

or March.
I went in April and it was lovely warm and sunny without being sweltering. I was in shorts and tees but the spaniards were in overcoats and scarves. It was about 20 degrees.

I hadnt even heard of him when I first saw the Sagrada and I was in awe of it.
I've been there often enough now that I dont do any touristy stuff, just go there for the vibe and to have fun.

Walk round there, then walk all the way back to the sea from there.

Walk from the Parc to La Predrera (Or whatever it's called) then to the Sagrada and then down the ramblas to the sea. Have a rest, then wander round the Gothic quarter.

Lisbon is also a nice place. I wasn't impressed with madrid. Too many huge roads and all the buldings looked like banks.

Can't think of any other city trip I've done where I was disappointed.
Amsterdam is nice enough, just didnt "pump my nads" paris has some amazing places but the city is too big and the people are too Parisian. Edinburgh was a bit "meh" the people arent scottish enough. The weather is though which sort of made up for it.
Berlin and Palma (Majorca) were the two that really exceeded my expectations. Palma is like a Bonsai Barcelona by a lovely big harbour with a lot of winter sunshine. Great for a sunshine break in November...

I didn't know about it being good for winter sun. Might be good for penniless proles like me.
