Have they charged you £125 for the privilege of being a customer of theirs, like they did with me?

same here
BT are the biggest bunch of cunts in the world. Go with a cable company like Virgin.

Unless you live in the 95% of the country that doesn't have cable.

Well, that's just your fault for not living in a decent area

Virgin still have service in non-cable areas.
You get ADSL and a normal phone line instead. It's just the TV part you can't get.

Did you have to have your local loop rebundled?

It's a fucking joke.
The whole thing, and it's put me in a foul mood for work and I can't be arsed and hate everything. :(

What number did you dial?
I've just been on the phone to get my line activated when I move in.
I dialled 0800 800 150, said I wanted the sales department and then said "I'm moving into a new place, I'm going to be a customer and I want a line set up."
I've just been told it'll be done by the 2nd of June.

It's free of charge, too

That was the number I dialled
but I didn't get put through to anyone, it just kept asking for phone numbers you want to talk about. How hard is it to be put straight through to a sales rep?

Do they still do that?
They tried that with me when I bought my first flat, despite it having a couple of BT phone sockets. Fuck 'em, I've always preferred cable anyway.

Yep, they did that to me despite already having the right sockets and cabling laid already
