A few weeks ago Baldmonkey posted a scan of a Victorian comic story
about two black kids getting themselves into trouble with an ostrich. It used the word "nigger" and described them as "woolly-headed". This sort of thing is par for the course for the 1890s, but I'd have expected better of the 1980s.
