oriental attitude towards combat
seems to me a lot of the time people announce what they're about to do, i.e. 'Spitting cobra rage attack!' or 'Dragon Laser!'

You don't hear people in the army shouting 'shooting at you with bullets out of a rifle!' so much.

So. What's your favourite fictional weapon? I liked the freeze ray in Duke Nuken, then you shattered the enemy with a kick.
