I asked the chap in the coffee shop for a Latte
'without the foam'

He said
'Ah! a wet latte'

In my limited experience if you order a latte
you basically get a latte with a load of cappuccino foam on top.

A decent place will give you something called a 'flat white' which is basically what I'm after, but apparently 'wet latte' is a latte without all the fluff on it.

I am baffled Flappers.
How can I be a hip, urbane art-man when I can't even get my coffee the correct wetness.
