Went to That Newquay today
No music blaring from bar doorways, no drunken hen or stag parties staggering about the place, only 500 surfers (10% of normal) trying to do their best with a 2ft swell (oo-er). Blimey.

What other places aren't the same these days?

ALT: Where do folks go these days for stag/hen dos that is not Blackpool?

Riga & Tallinn
Cheap booze, English spoken widely, women of easy virtue - basically what you want, right?

However I had a gun pulled on me in Riga, and my friend was dropped off on the outskirts of the city by a corrupt policeman who took most of his money as a bribe.

Lovely teahouse in the central park, mind.

Riga
I take my hat of to you sir. Well former USSR respeck.

Old Riga is actually very nice.
There's a beautiful 14th Century Guildhall called the 'House of the Blackheads' right next door to an a lumpen concrete blight on the landscape called the 'Latvian Occupation Museum.' I asked a taxi river about this and he told me that as ugly as the building was, it wasn't nearly as ugly as the occupation itself, which i found interesting.

Later that evening I took a Cypriot ice skating for the first time ever.

A friend of mine was going to go to Prague for his stag do
but changed it to Munich a week before they were going to leave. When I asked why he said it was because the prisons were better in Germany.

That and the fact that the locals are prone to kicking in the heads of drunk Englishmen these days
for fucking up their city

There's signs in Krakow saying "No More Than Two English People"
it's like being in a very racist sweet shop

they say Prague is an international banking centre
they also say it's where the Russian Mafia launder their ill gotten gains.

Oh shit, now that's on the CIA database of things people said on the internet.

Oh shit, I said CIA on the internet.

Shit, I said Shit, that's going on the obscenity database of some American church with shadowy agendas.

Bollox.

I'm sure hen and stag parties ruin a lot of destinations,
have to be done though
