Lots do, certainly.
But their reason for it was that cooking destroys enzymes which are vital for life.
These are the same enzymes which are torn to shreds by your own digestive enzymes before you absorb them.

I had an allergic reaction to tuna when I was 18.
That sucked.

I don't eat an awful lot of meat because I don't like it very much. I've not got any weird food thing. I can't have really, the size I am.
