do more exercise. don't pay someone a fiver a week to tell you that.

actually
if you've really no idea how to start. It's not a bad idea to go to one.

But as you say, it is exactly that. Eat less, exercise more. That's what I've been doing for the past 3 weeks and I've lost 9lbs.

I'm not sure where the difficulty in starting lies
with the whole "eat less" concept.

I know, like exercise, WW works for some people because of the "group shame" mentality - you're more concerned with not being embarassed about putting on weight in front of the group then you actually are about your weight - but I'm not sure that's a sensible mental state to reinforce.

I meant more in what's healthy to eat
rather than eat less. I hate those diet clubs now. I've been to loads and I've always ended up feeling shit about myself, even if I'm losing weight.

I tend to subscribe to the theory
that if you can't wander round a supermarket looking at fresh food and then findus crispy pancakes and Sunny D and then going "do you know, I'm stumped as to what might be healthier here" ... then possibly, possibly you should just carry on eating until you're too fat to propagate your genetic material and do the planet a fucking favour.

Then again, maybe that's just me?

/that's the point of diet clubs. lose weight due to guilt rather than desire to lose weight. tap into the weakest part of the ego at the most base level and BINGO!

yep
like I said 'cock ends'.

This time I'm on my own, doing it cos I want to and I don't miss what I've cut out.

I was a healthy weight before Weight Watchers.
it messed with my head a lot. The group shame thing was not healthy at all.

That's the thing, I don't really know where to start.
It's one of those subjects I'm completely retarded in, there are loads of things that I think are OK, which arn't, and visa-versa.

Plus if someone was weighing me in each week, I'ld do better. I don't mind letting myself down, but not other people.

Plus there's tons of women in these places
they'll all want to look after you ;o)

Go for it. Even if you find you don't like it, at least you end up with all their diet plan stuff and you can carry it on, on your own.
