arse arse arse arse
what do you do when you've invited a load of people to a kid's birthday party that you've just realised that a) the deposit hasn't been paid for the venue and b) you don't have enough money to pay for the venue anyway?

I know this isn't the best place to try and be serious, but I've got no-one else to talk to right now and I'm really worried and emotional* about this

*currently crying like a baby

[edit] it's £25 deposit and then £50 to pay on the day for the trampoline centre, plus I have to provide all the food and drinks for that. I've already got the cake ingredients (apart from the eggs) so that part's ok

Blame it on the venue to the other kids parents
then have a nice party at home / in a park somwhere where it's free and make the food yourself.
(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:38, archived)
I have to do the food myself anyway
and I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for that. I have no way of getting in touch with the parents of the kids from playgroup
(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:40, archived)
When is it?

(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:41, archived)
30th July

(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:42, archived)
How much do you need?

(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:45, archived)
Then you've got plenty of time,
you can soon find the kids through playgroup and give them another invite or something.
(, Sat 9 Jul 2005, 18:46, archived)
playgroup finished two weeks ago
at the end of term.

organise a scavenger hunt
start outside the venue and meet at home at the end
