I feel stuck in a dead-end job, with no prospects of advancement, yet I lack the enthusiasm and inspiration to continue. It is as though my life is in a slump and I can't pull myself out of it. To make matters worse I am imprisoned in a labyrinth and with every step I take, the hot breath and cruel eyes of the Minotaur bear down upon me like Nemesis.

It is often easy to lose motivation when unemployed.
And during a recession it can feel like you will never work again. Have you tried tying a piece of string to the entrance of the labyrinth, and using it to find you're way back?

i know that feeling, i've had it quite a bit lately
go to a conference or two where there might be better work. hand out business cards. consume the refreshments. it'll feel productive if nothing else
