Do you know if the tell is "1080p" / "FullHD" ? 'cus then it would make a well decent monitor.
The 'macbook' (eg, non 'pro') are also, I reckon, gonna get a refresh this month.... basicly, there is a new version of OSX (like saying 'new version of windows'), and the hardwares are due for an upgrade around now too, so it makes sense they'll put them hand-in-hand.

I'm mostly a laptop user because I used to travel around a lot and so it made sense, and now I'm not really a gamer it's a habit that has carried on. Aside work, I haven't used a desktop in 8ish years.

The battery life on the apple machines are second to none, when I first got my Macbook Pro, I could get easerly 8-9 hours, and even after a year now I can get 5-6 hours.... so might be good for L@TL or whatever.

I *think* you can, but not without playing around with some sort of different hardware.
They got quite big screens and I *think* Mohalla uses his iMac as a telly, so he might know better. You can naturally do the iPlayer like stuff.

well you can get hdmi to dvi adapters so that should be the worst way to achieve it, and that's fine.

Nah', aside the fact that they use DIsplayPort... it's video-out not video-in which is what he'd need.
