They give out medals and plates and trophies too.
The winners of the football world cup don't get a cup. I know. Crazy.
(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:08, archived)

it's a funny looking cup though I don't know how you'd drink out of it.
(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:09, archived)
I bet you didn't see them drinking champagne out of it.
It's not a cup.
(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:10, archived)
its not a cup at all anymore, and before it was a trophy

(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:11, archived)
apparently it is still a trophy,
so why is it called the World Cup and not the World Trophy?
(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:12, archived)
the competition winner gets the trophy, the competition is the world cup

(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:14, archived)
so why is it called the World Cup?

(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:16, archived)
because different country football tournement for a trophy sounded shit, and you smell

(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:20, archived)
well apparently it was originally a cup,
but then they stopped calling it a cup and started calling it a trophy, and then Brazil won it too much so they got a new one that wasn't a cup.

But the name stuck.

So there.
(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:23, archived)
The trophy that Brazil got to keep wasn't a cup either

(, Sun 9 Feb 2014, 21:25, archived)
